László Moholy-Nagy at the Bauhaus Archiv Berlin

Nothing to add here. The ingenious work by the most favorite artist László Moholy-Nagy is getting honored with an exhibition for another time at Bauhaus Archiv, Berlin. It includes a number of contemporary artists and has been prepared in collaboration with the Plug In Institute of Contemporary Art in Winnipeg. I would love to move in for that time before I move over to his Meisterhaus, living in a Moholy-Nagy environment would be heaven! (All images: Lucia Moholy, László Moholy-Nagy, VG Bildkunst)

This is making the rounds these days and totally hitting home for us Light & Space friends. With the Lucid Stead installation in the Californian desert, Phillip K. We’re Back In Town…

tumblr_mqquzyAug01qjnnqbo1_1280

We’re back home after being about two weeks on the road, breathing fresh air in the Swiss hills, splashing in glacial rivers and Italian lakes, finding an amazing James Turrell skyspace on 1700 m above sea level, spending rad times with Sergej and a lot more. Updates coming up this week.

NY Times Magazine: James Turrell

13turell9-popup

A most recent issue of The NY Times Magazine features my most favourite artist James Turrell — “The Mesmerizer — How James Turrell Knocked the Art World Off Its Feet”. You can the read the full piece online. Such a great mag cover, too (photo by Chuck Close). Turrell currently has a three-venue museum exhibition with varying installations at Guggenheim Museum in New York, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Road trip!

Oh, how I love the work of James Turrell. I equally love the idea to have a private skyspace build by Turrell. Well, maybe it will happen at some point in my life, you just never know… There is a slideshow on T Magazine showing a few skyspaces he designed for private collectors.
