The monumental still life photography of Edward Burtynsky is equally fascinating and disturbing. The way he captures the filthy reality makes the images look like they could also be in a book about the most beautiful places in the world. At a first glance, some of Burtynsky’s photos could be a work for a big oil company with that certain kind of corporate language. But the identification of the error falls into place right away. Images of his series “Oil” will be shown at C/O Gallery Berlin, the show starts 27.07.2012
